GAP the series episode 3 part 1

The Series picks up the pace as we dive headfirst into Sam and Mon’s budding romance. Sam appears from behind and corners Mon as they enter the office. But it wouldn’t be Sam if she did not have a remark to accompany her actions as she blames Mon for scaring her with ghost stories because of which she has not slept.

Sam goes to her office and remembers the night before. Turns out her being scared of ghosts may be a serious thing for her as Mon’s joke of a ghost haunting her truly scares her as she lies alone in her bed. However, she has bigger concerns as she realises that someone has leaked their secrets to a rival company, owned by none other than Nita. Her page has the same content that Mon was preparing for ‘Diversity Pop’. Sam is furious and tries to root out the traitor by interrogating all the employees.

Nita’s company takes down the content and Sam is sure there is a mole who is relaying their every step. Kirk comes with snacks as he feels bad for the setback. He tries to cheer up Sam by asking her out and promising to protect the company. When she asks where was he during the crisis, it seems he had gone to confront Nita about ‘Diversity Pop’s content.

Turns out he was the one who did tell Nita about it as he wanted her to invest in the project. She tries to smoothen it out by saying that there was a misunderstanding and they didn’t mean to plagiarize. She also proposes becoming their business partner so that the project will be successful. Kirk thinks back to the meeting but doesn’t tell Sam about it.

Yuki is impressed and praises her dedication as the viewers find out that out of adoration, Mon went to the same college as Sam and will start a new job at Sam’s company. Mon is excited to meet her for the first time after so many years but both she and Yuki wonder if Sam will remember her. On the first day of work, everyone is nervous to meet Mon as they think she is British and are worried that they will have to talk in English. But she assures them that she is half-Thai and not a foreigner. They get her settled by playing pranks on her and making her comfortable. She attributes it to Sam’s kindness but her co-workers look at her with disbelief. They share that they have to call her Lady Boss and that Sam is actually very cold.

Sam passes a comment on everything Mon and Kirk talk about and it’s awkward. At lunch, Mon is amused with the way Sam eats who also helps her season her food. The restaurant they go to has a ghost story which scares Sam. Kirk and Mon tease Sam who looks extremely unnerved. They drop her home where Sam continues to be standoffish while secretly making heart eyes at Mon (Alexa play Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold). Nop watches from inside and Sam and Kirk wonder if he is Mon’s boyfriend. Mon finally updates Yuki who thinks that she is still in love with Sam. Mon reveals that she is going crazy while trying to understand her. Sam texts her and asks her to stay up with her so that they can talk. Both are happy as they come up with clever comebacks and joke about ghosts haunting them. The next day, as Mon reaches the office, Sam corners her and looks at her intently.

Our Sam just may be the very definition of ‘gaslight gatekeep girlboss’ as she starts ordering the employees from the very first moment she appears and firing a couple as office romance is not allowed, a rule that will surely come back to bite her in the ass. Mon’s co-workers assure her that Sam isn’t always so ruthless and that she is just worried because the company hasn’t reached its profit goals. Mon isn’t deterred and also offers to help the resident cleaner, Aunty Mee who asks her to take a box upstairs.
